ReplyDeleteThanks Lita! I love bitter gourd too. However by Chinese medicine, it belong to "cold" category, which is opposite of ginger. So if you have any illness caused by "coldness", ie. if you feel cold feet, maybe you don't want to eat too much of it. It was recommended for summer diet, not for winter.
ReplyDeleteHowever, I found mostly westerners have better body heat so it may not be a problem at all.
